BIG-EU greets Fraport as 100th member and donates to children with cancer

Dortmund / Frankfurt a.M., March 19, 2013. - Fraport AG is the 100th member of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU). With a donation to the "Help for Children with Cancer Frankfurt," the BIG-EU  welcomed the new member. BIG-EU President Volker Röhl and Execetuve Board member Klaus Wächter presented the check at the ISH in Frankfurt.

The cancer-stricken children and their parents will be extremely happy about this unexpectedly generous donation, said  Helga von Haselberg, the chairman of the organization. The association operates a family center, where the parents live during treatment times, and has been accompanying the children on their way - which also again and again leads to healing.

Fraport AG is a BACnet user par excellence. "With the new aiport gate A-Plus, we have complete trust in BACnet," reported senior Fraport facility manager, Bernd Hanke. By fully integrating the trades, Fraport has a solid BACnet knowledge that they will bring to the BIG-EU. Volker Röhl sees that this will further strengthen BACnet in Europe: "Our entire community will benefit."
