Tasks of the Working Group Technique (WG-T)
The basic principle of the work of the WG-T is provided in the statutes of the association: "the development and adoption of technical specifications for the development of the BACnet protocol and development of proposals for the standard".
Experts who cooperate with the WG-T
- work actively in the BACnet ASHRAE technical committees, contributing proposals for norm maintenance, which are elaborated on in the BIG-EU, and inform the committee about the continuing negotiations in the BACnet committee of ASHRAE, SSPC135
- handle requests for interpretation of the BACnet standard (so-called clarification requests), as needed together with the SSPC135 of ASHRAE,
- maintain a manual for implementation of BACnet projects
- maintain a conformity test and listing system for BACnet implementations jointly with the American BACnet Manufacturer Association (BMA).
