Conformance Test
Manufacturers of BACnet products can prove with conformity tests that their devices comply with the BACnet Standard ISO 16484-5. The tests are conducted in accordance to the ASHRAE Standard 135.1:2003 "Method of Test for Conformance to BACnet".
If the test result is positive, the manufacturer can apply for the BTL listing and BTL mark by sending the test report to BACnet International, c/o BTL manager.
After that BI verifies the test report and in case of a positive result will confirm it with the approval of BTL application and instructions on submitting BTL listing(s) information to BI web server.
The BIG-EU and BACnet International have agreed on a global unification of the BTL listing, that becomes operative from July 1st, 2009.
