BIG-EU President offers Congratulations on the first BACnet China Journal
The BACnet Journal is now also being published in Chinese
Dortmund, 14.01.2009 - At the end of 2008 the first BACnet China journal was published with the support of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) and BACnet International (BI). "Due to the marked growth in China, interest is increasing in conceiving building automation systems using worldwide recognized standards. BACnet plays a prominent role in this", comments BIG-EU President, Volker Röhl.
The first 24-page Journal informs readers about BACnet technology, introduces companies as well as products and reference projects. The foreword has been written by BACnet pioneer H. Michael Newman of Cornell University Ithaca. BIG-EU President Volker Röhl and Professor Liu Xiande from Huazhong University of Science and Technology have assisted in the creation of the first BACnet China Journal. It was particularly supported by ABB, Delta Controls, Kieback&Peter, Loytec and Siemens China. The next BACnet China Journal is planned for the middle of 2009.
The inspiration to publish a separate BACnet China Journal was due to the setting of BACnet technology as the standard for building automation in China in 2006 and also because of the special needs and interests of the ever growing Chinese market. With its important information on the subject of BACnet, the BACnet China Journal is directed not only at developers and manufacturers but also at planners, systems integrators, architects, engineers as well as investors and building owners and technical specialists in Chinese industry.
