Event highlights by BIG-EU - Trainings in Germany - Forum in China - trade fairs in Frankfurt, Orlando, Dubai
Dortmund March 03, 2009. - "Be open - be BACnet" is the motto of this year's annual BACnet common booth at the ISH in Frankfurt/M. With a surplus of exhibitors of 30% compared to 2007, 13 system suppliers present new BACnet conformed products and efficient integration solutions. The world's leading trade fair for sanitary, building, energy and airconditioning technology and regenerative energies is a highlight of the event varieties of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU). Additional programs are a "plugfestival", new trainings, a pretesting workshop, new BACnet forums and further trade fairs.
BACnet as the worldwide communications standard DIN EN ISO 16484-5 enables the simple integration of different building systems. Thus it provides not only multiple technical but also economical benefits. "Plugfests" are intended to test and further improve the interoperability between devices of different manufacturers. The third "plugfest" by BIG-EU takes place from April 22nd- 24th in Finland.
BACnet trainings are part of a trainings concept, which is oriented towards the demand of engineering consultancies, end users and system vendors. BIG-EU conducts them in cooperation with the German VDI-Wissensforum. "Building automation with BACnet" is the topic under which the BACnet trainings take place on June 23rd and 24th in Stuttgart as well as on September 29th and 30th in Düsseldorf.
In order to avoid time consuming and expensive iterations during the testing phase, BIG-EU offers so called pretesting workshops. They provide the possibility for system suppliers, to test their devices with regard to conformity prior to the actual tests in a certified testing laboratory. This minimizes costs as well as testing times.
A discussion platform about the BACnet topic is offered by BIG-EU by means of their numerous forums.The first BACnet forum China takes place on October 20th in Beijing. It is hosted by the Chinese National Standards Committee, a federal institute for the definition of building automation standards. It is aimed at the introduction of the progressive BACnet technologies from USA and Europe to the Chinese market. Another forum is planned towards the end of the year in Madrid/Spain.
The "building efficiency dialog 2009" highlights the second congress fair for energy efficient buildings taking place on November 12th in Frankfurt/M. It focuses on the application of intelligent building technology and the use of modern energy services. BIG-EU is event partner for BACnet technologies.
"Big 5 Dubai"is known as the largest trade fair of it's kind in the Middle East. This year the 5 big days of the building and construction sector take place from November 23rd to 26th, where BACnet suppliers from Europe, America and the Middle East present new BACnet products for integrated automation solutions.
The annual "AHR Expo", which is increasingly used by BIG-EU members as market place for their export buisiness, takes place from January 25th to 27th 2010 in Orlando/USA.
Every other year, the building automation experts meet in Paris at the interclima+elec. The fair from February 9th to 12th 2010 reflects the integration of HVAC-technologies in building management technology. For the second time, visitors can find information about the benefits of the manufacturer independent standard at the BACnet booth.
The next "Light+Building", the international expert fair for architecture and technology, takes place from April 11th to 16th 2010 in Frankfurt/M. BIG-EU will once more be present with a common booth of their members.
