Building automation speaks BACnet
BIG-EU presents innovative BACnet products for all levels
Dortmund/Frankfurt. - March 03, 2009. At the ISH 2009, products with innovative BACnet technology are presented by 13 exhibitors at the BACnet common booth. Obviously the field level is integrated more and more. Due to the worldwide communication standard BACnet DIN EN ISO 16484-5, the products provide best preconditions for an efficient, economical and fit for future building automation.
BACnet increasingly ensures an integrated communication down to field level. With its Metasys Network Engine TEC JOHNSON CONTROLS shows a device for connection of individual rooms and chillers. BACnet is natively integrated here. The certified BACnet building controller provides a field access for room automation and extension modules with BACnet MS/TP. A manual emergency control is also provided by BACnet MS/TP.
PLÜTH REGELSYSTEME shows its automation station COSMOS 4000 OPEN. As native BACnet controller it supports the BACnet protocol and communicates via ethernet with BACnet MS/TP devices on field level. Up to 4000 physical inputs/outputs are thus processed by means of the CAN I/O-modules within milliseconds. Aditionally PLÜTH shows the first airflap drivers and watervalves with BACnet MS/TP.
Energy saving with frequency converters
ABB AUTOMATION PRODUCTS presents the Standard Drive Frequency converter ACH550.
It was especially designed for the HVAC sector and supports BACnet MS/TP by
means of direct connection and without additional hardware. The drive can
be competely controlled via BACnet. All MS/TP baud rates and the Master-functionality
are supported. The use of ACH550 saves time, reduces installation costs, facilitates
the monitoring and termination of defaults.
DANFOSS also introduces a frequency converter. Der VLT® HVAC Drive Frequency converter with BACnet connection is used for optimization of ventilation- and pump applications in building automation. Benefits for the user are a simple integration of ventilation- and pump drives as well as savings in energy consumption and an optimum process control.
A simple installation is promised by the frequency converter Vacon 100HVAC, because additional options do not need to be installed nor wired. VACON has thus introduced a new series of frequency converters, developed especialy for the HVAC-sector. On standard integrated are interfaces for communication via BACnet/IP as well as BACnet MS/TP. Additional optional communication assemblies or external gateways can thus be dismissed.
Open and secure for the future by high end interoperability
D&S CONTROL SYSTEMS COLOGNE presents the WD 100-4 controller for controlling
of fire safety and smoke flaps. It shows the connection of the overriding
guide technology with their own circlebus system. The innovative matching
of BACnet and internet technology provides a flexible adaption to the existing
building automation. The visualizing software shows the system graphically.
For means of controlling and operating HVAC systems, the new modular system Controlesta RCO by ELESTA provides several possibilities. Up to 32 E/A-modules can be connected with one controller. A freely programmable Master Controller was extended by native BACnet. The integrated protocols like BACnet/Ethernet, BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/PTP as well as Modbus, M-Bus, Wilo, Groundfos and ASCII enable a multiple communication. The system thus provides a high flexibility and simple handling.
BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP communication with web-based visualizing of line conditions is presented by SAIA-BURGESS CONTROLS. Their automation stations PCD2.M5540 and PCD3.M5540 are distinguished by simple engineering. With the option of using standard-IT infrastructure, they contribute to cost reduction. The beneficial supplement of web IT-technologies and BACnet is innovative for the complete product family.
With the EY-modulo 5 system, SAUTER extends the modular solutions assembly EY-modulo. The system EY-modulo 5 picks up the experience for energy efficiency and long term operation of buildings. The system is expanded by the new modular supplementary communications modules moduCOM. BACnet/IP components like the automation station modu525 and the room automation regulator ecos502 enable a systematic building management - from energy treatment to individual rooms.
An integrated overall system with high end system functions and integrated BACnet-technology are provided by the building automation system DESIGO by SIEMENS. As management system and automation station for all applications in the building technology it fulfills multiple requirements in control, steering and monitoring. Native BACnet enables the open communication in building technology. Low costs of life cycle, flexible expandability and a maximum of energy efficiency are the benefits.
TREND System house with their building automation system provides a reduced time for taking up initial operation by means of engineering tools with "online" Engineering-function. The IQ3xcite/BACnet Web DDC-Station guarantees downwards compatibility with previous systems by means of an integrated BACnet- and Trend-protocol in one system. That means, investments are ensured. New flexible recording methods of the automation station enable an improved recording of consumption data.
High end developed Energy management solutions
An efficient management of buildings and machines is made possible by the
new active operation by I.T.E.N.O.S. It provides control of the building technology
on just one platform with unified data stock. Monitoring and operation of
decentral systems are also possible. The user thus has an efficient central
management system at hand. The data are available to him just-in-time, depending
on their requests. Optimized and facilitated processes are thus made possible.
The integrated room controller IRC by ACELIA provides BACnet MS/TP and is suitable for allround solutions with Multi-Energy-Management. HVAC, lighting and sunblends can be centrally controlled. The Karno® controller for controlling heat and AC devices, is installed directly on the HVAC device. The Dalilon® Light add-ons control the lighting.
The world of building automation speaks BACnet. The neutral communication standard integrates different building installations to high performance systems, enables the design of complete common solutions between different manufacturers and allows the system integration independently from system levels. This brings economical benefits, investment ensuring and a lead in installation, extension and operation.
At the ISH trade fair it becomes clear that BACnet has meanwhile developed to world standard. Proprietors and investors, design engineers and consultants utilize the open creative possibilities.
