BACnet Academy Europe keeps moving

BACnet Academy - now in Switzerland after a successful premier

Dortmund, 22 February, 2010 - Following the first successful BACnet Academy Europe 2009 in Amsterdam, the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) now passes the baton on to Switzerland. The second European BACnet training will take place at the World Trade Center Zurich on 18 May. Its focus is on the introduction to building automation with BACnet. Frank Schubert, member of the advisory board of the BIG-EU, praises the international format and looks forward to participants from Switzerland and all across Europe.

"The training is especially designed to meet the interests and requirements of technical service providers, developers, project engineers, planners and facility managers," says training supervisor Frank Schubert. With BACnet he introduces the manufacturer independent, license-free and trade-spanning building automation standard.

The basics of interoperable building automation are presented in the course of the one-day training. Also shown is why BACnet is the worldwide standard for building automation. Furthermore, participants are introduced to the standard's various object types, and special functions are explained. Additional topics include data flow control in networks and the integration of BACnet in IT environments.

BACnet Academy Europe is organized by MarDirect, the service office of the BIG-EU, and is professionally supervised by the BIG-EU. Further trainings will take place this year in Brussels and The Hague. Further information can be requested at info@big-eu.org.
