light+building Hall 9.0 Booth B60
More Energy Efficiency in Buildings with BACnet Products
Dortmund/Frankfurt, 11 April 2010. - Public finances are running dry, cities and municipalities have to save money. The result is that the construction industry focuses more and more on increasing the efficiency of real estate. Energy efficiency in buildings is the focal point of discussions and product presentations at light+building as well. At the booth for the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) in Hall 9.0, Booth B60 interested parties can learn more about the latest trends, products and technologies for efficient properties.
Energy costs are steadily increasing
New products from MBS GMBH, Energy///Perfect and Energy///Saver rely on
the acquisition and visualization of energy consumption. Consumption transparency
is the foundation to sustainably lowering costs. While Energy///Perfect as
a software solution offers a global view on facilities, Energy///Saver with
its local connectivity for various field bus networks provides access to the
local functions with its integrated web server. It is the ideal combination
for energy analysis and energy monitoring.
Efficient buildings require more automation and security technology. They must be more adaptive, more intelligent easy to operate. SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BUILDINGS has developed the Andover Continuum System and the Energy Remote Monitoring (ERM) for this purpose. They are integrated, continuous and holistic solutions with native BACnet that enable comprehensive energy monitoring with a wide range of supplementary services.
INGA mbH presents the IBS8 netview and EIQ for energy controlling. EIQ as web based energy controlling is the ideal instrument for improving energy efficiency. It makes centralized acquisition, archiving, presentation and analysis of data possible. Benchmarking or load profile monitoring are typical applications and a prerequisite in monitoring energy consumption.
How frequency converters contribute to greaterenergy savings
ABB AUTOMATION PRODUCTS presents its ABB Standard Drive ACH 550, a frequency
converter with serial BACnet support, designed especially for the use in HVAC
systems. The drive can be controlled entirely via BACnet. It supports all
MS/TP baud rates and master functionality. The ACH550 as a complete solution
for customer specific requirements saves time and money.
VACON designed a frequency converter with BACnet interface especially for the HVAC industry. Both BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/IP are integrated as standard. With this converter VACON has a very compact and user-friendly product in the IP 21 and 54 protection classes.
Management solutions for efficient properties
With the Integrated Room Controller (IRC) ACELIA presents a solution based
on BACnet MS/TP. The controller's modular concept allows the easy control
of all processes from HVAC to lighting and blind control. An all-in-one system
for new construction and the renovation of old buildings. The parallel use
of the Acelia Facilities BACnet software tool makes integration and repartitioning
easier.
For system and zone control JOHNSON CONTROLS has developed the Metasys NCE and the BACnet MS/TP CO2 sensor. Through the application of BACnet/IP on the automation level and BACnet MS/TP on the field level the connection via the BACnet network, including sensors, is possible. This enables continuous and open communication.
Efficient operation of buildings and installations
The new FIS# building management system by HERMOS integrates all technical
trades independent of interfaces and manufacturers. It offers the user a homogenous
database for the optimization of operational costs as well as a BMS surface
for all technical trades and technical facility management.
With its new activeOperation, ITENOS presents a solution for building and facility management. activeOperation is a central, superordinate management system with standard databases. Manufacturer-neutral and suitable for various applications at various locations, it offers saving potential in effort, costs and resources.
KIEBACK&PETER presents solutions for trade-spanning, fully integrated building automation with the Neutrino-GLT building management system, the DDC4000 automation system and the DDC3500-BACnet automation station. The equipment with native BACnet can be applied in any system size. The advantages include high flexibility, remote control and high-performance automation solutions for all control, optimization and monitoring tasks.
The DESIGO INSIGHT and DESIGO PX provide integrated building automation for monitoring of all building services installations and processes with minimal energy consumption. SIEMENS has developed a product for particularly energy saving applications in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems based on intelligent and patented computing process.
Interoperability - open and future-proof
SAMSON presents a certified BACnet Building Controller (B-BC) with its
TROVIS 6600 automation system. With it the company offers a touch panel for
all types of applications in building automation. This product features a
full graphic web server, graphic projection and integration of OPC, KNX, LON,
Modbus and M-BUS.
With the EY-modulo system 5 SAUTER expands its EY-modulo modular building block solution. With it SAUTER ties into its experience with energy-efficient and long-term operation of buildings. The innovation of the EY-modulo 5 system lies in both the modularity of the controller with its integrated Web server and in the use of BACnet / IP for room automation. This allows continuous building management from individual rooms all the way to the entire control technology - embedded energy management.
BACnet supports the interoperability of components and systems from different manufacturers. SWG STUCKMANN shows how the integration of BACnet products from different manufacturers can be implemented at different levels, thus allowing system integration to function smoothly. This permits vendor-neutral solutions with innovative and efficient energy and cost management.
Green Buildings optimally supported
The WRF08_BACnet-MS/TP focuses utilization in individual application areas
on the optimum operation of a BACnet-oriented automation environment. In addition,
THERMOKON introduces its SRC65-BACnet Gateway for combining two established
network technologies: BACnet and EnOcean. Energy-efficient and environmentally
friendly "green buildings" are optimally supported.
DELTA CONTROLS offers trade-spanning and manufacturer-neutral applications
with one of the first tested BACnet building management systems with the B-AWS
(BACnet Advanced Workstation Software) device profile. With the enteliSYSTEM
and the BACnet system architecture a BACnet solution is presented which encompasses
the entire HVAC field, access control, as well as lighting control. With this
extended functional scope integrated BACnet architecture is also provided.
Even more easily and quickly implemented BACnet projects - that is the wish
of many users. The new BACnet solutions from PRIVA are applied precisely in
this area. Designed for new construction, renovation, expansion and integration,
these allow not only easier installation of BACnet projects, but also simple
updates in existing BACnet projects. PRIVA's control systems score points
with their speed, flexibility and low costs without sacrificing comfort.
VICONICS presents wireless control for HVAC systems with their VT7200, VT7300 and VT7600 products. This product range features lower installation costs, a faster return on investment (ROI), easy installation and increased comfort.
Integrating certified energy meters
WONDERWARE presents Manufacturer-neutral building automation for the optimization
of energy management in real estate. WONDERWARE is displaying its System Platform,
its HMI Reports and its Facility Management Applications. This product range
features openness and flexibility of applications, availability of object
templates in the form of extensive libraries, as well as the possibility to
create your own templates.
SAIA-BURGESS presents its freely programmable controller with BACnet option and integrated web technology, as well as its communicative MID certified energy meters. These products are primarily characterized by the complete integration of BACnet on all Saia PCD systems. In this way web panels can be integrated as local and offset control units and MID-certified energy meters - this is the basis for energy-efficient buildings.
The products from INH-GMBH allow low-cost operation and monitoring of technical building systems. With the BACnet-Watcher a universal tool for easy operation, monitoring and logging of BACnet objects is possible. The programmable BACnet Gateway has a hardware and software platform available which integrates proprietary protocols and bus systems in the BACnet network.
BACnet ensures connections to innovative and efficient technologies. The
BACnet products at light+building show that the DIN EN ISO 16484-5 global
communication standard is becoming a fixed feature for efficient buildings.
BACnet facilitates and promotes the integration of different systems and therefore
creates the basis for reducing long term operating costs. System and vendor-independent
adaptations and extensions are possible.
