14th BACnet Plugfest for testing new prototypes

BIG-EU promotes interoperability of various BACnet products

Dortmund/Zug, March 18th, 2020. – BACnet developers and product managers from all over the world will meet from 17-19 June for the 14th European BACnet Plugfest in Switzerland. The host, Siemens Schweiz AG, is gearing up for another successful event based on its expertise and new visitor center that is ready and waiting to welcome participants to Zug, Switzerland.

The annual BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) Plugfest promotes the interoperability of BACnet products from a multitude of manufacturers. In 2020, BACnet expert Thomas Kurowski, Siemens Standardization Manager for building products, will take over the technical moderation of the developers' meeting: "Six months after the BACnet Secure Connect addendum, we are offering a platform for testing new prototypes for the first time on a global scale ". Patrice Hell, development engineer of Fr. Sauter AG and an experienced BACnet tester, has agreed to support the organisation.

The Plugfest offers device testing with a variety of manufacturers in different sessions: pairings, round tables and freely arranged sessions. Presentations by developers for developers provide the latest, relevant and most up to date information about technical and organizational innovations around the BACnet standard. More than that, the Plugfest provides a unique networking opportunity with developers from fellow manufacturers and facilitates the exchange of technical information.

The registration page is now open at https://bacnetplugfest.org/. For technical and organisational reasons, the registration period ends on 15 May 2020.
