BACman comes from Germany

High honors for Hans Kranz - technology and dates in the latest BACnet Journal Dortmund, May 9th, 2016 – Dipl. Ing. Hans Kranz, one of the German founding fathers of the building automation industry was inducted into the "Control Trends Hall of Fame" as BACman at the ASHRAE Winter Conference in Orlando. The BACnet Europe Journal reports on this in its latest edition.


Hans Kranz, author of textbooks and a variety of technical articles on the topic of building automation is recognized as the father of the standardized BA functions. Additionally, he was the driving force behind the adoption of BACnet in the BA World Standard EN ISO 16484.
