BACnet Europe Journal – News about ISO 16484-5

Dortmund, October 27th, 2015. – It is a must for users of open building communication. The autumn edition of the BACnet Europe Journal is available and provides news about the communication standard ISO 16484-5. Published by the BIG-EU, which is the European developer and user community, the 52 pages Journal reports on new applications, products and meetings in Europe.


A variety of typical buildings are presented that use independent BACnet communication. European projects are the Florentinum Prague (Czech Republic), the Municipal Administration of Bordeaux (France) and the University Hospital St Joan de Reus (Spain). Added are German projects such as the Cologne Flora, the Regional Church Office Munic, the Schwäbisch Media Center Ravensburg and the storage magazine Berlin-Friedrichshagen of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.

Other topics are CSML as description language for building automation data, the BACnet exhibition at the Light+Building 2016 and what is significant for the European BACnet community – Roadshow, Interoperability Workshop, introductory courses. "20 new members in one year!" reports the Journal at the end and introduces the German Bundesbank as new member.
