BACnet goes Spain
Users’ Forum in Barcelona – Up-to-date with BACnet
Dortmund, May 25th, 2016. – Experts from the building automation branch, investors, building owners and operators as well as facility managers will all meet in Barcelona on October 10th for the first BACnet Users’ Forum in Spain. This is the first step toward a regular exchange with the BACnet users in Spain and the first symposium in Europe after the publication of the new BACnet Standard 2016.
Spain is making progress; its economy is expected to grow by 2.5 percent in 2016, bringing it to the top of the large European countries. And this growth is reflected in the construction industry as well. The demand for efficient building technology in existing and new buildings is increasing. This also shows in the great interest and excitement that has greeted the event. The largest manufacturers of building automation components and systems have already agreed to participate. The event is supported by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BARCELONATECH (Polytechnical University of Catalonia). The forum will also take place there
The BACnet Forum will be opened by a representative of the Clúster d'Eficiència Energètica de Catalunya (CEEC) (Clusters for Energy Efficiency of Catalonia). On behalf of BIG_EU Mr. Manuel Bouvier, Fr. Sauter AG, will open the forum. Tentatively other speakers include: Prof. Luis Romeral from Center Innovation Electronics. Motion Control and Industrial Applications. MCIA, Thomas Kurowski, Siemens Building Technologies and a BIG-EU respresentative in the BACnet standardization committee SSPC 135 of ASHRAE.
