Meet BACnet Creator H. Michael Newman at Light+Building

Why the BACnet booth is worthwhile to visit

Dortmund, March 2nd, 2016. – It is a BACnet stand of superlatives: 50 lectures, 20 participating companies, seven cooperating associations and last but not least the BACnet creator H. Michael Newman is on board! For building planners, constructors and operators visiting the booth B50 in hall 9.0 is a must. „We want to be different from the norm and create an attractive hotspot for addressing the challenges of building automation“, stressed Klaus Wächter, Executive Board member of the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU).

“efficient.buildings.live@l+b“ – the slogan illustrates the intention of the many participants: Strabag and Fraport, the city of Cologne and the German Central Bank will give lectures about new expectations and the new requirements’ specifications. Frey Architects will report on the building-integrated energy systems in the Smart Green Tower in Freiburg, Germany. Future directions of building automation will be introduced by BACnet founder H. Michael Newman, by Peter Fischer, University of Applied Sciences Dortmund, and – speaking about IoT integration – by Matthias Lürkens from Gesytec. Regarding the Internet of Things, the newest member of the BIG-EU, the Fairhair Alliance, will be introduced.

To design efficient buildings of the future is the comprehensive mission of the stand.
